ABOUT 

Lutèce Guillemot is a photographer and mixed media artist based in Brooklyn, Nyc.

 

She uses her academic background in Anthropology, Environmentalism and Film as a framework for mixed-media and layered photographic projects.  Often, her work highlights recurring fascinations with iconography, as well as nature and ornithology to represent themes of impermanence and change. She strives to incorporate an intimate perspective, exploring sexuality and coming of age through the lens of womanhood. 

 

Like a journal of memory, her work is multi-sensory— utilizing sounds, texture, contrast, and shadows to emphasize raw expression in forms of tangibility.

Currently Lutèce is preparing for a group show in April as well as as planning a solo adventure to Guatemala. There, she intends to use her camera as her compass, uncovering her roots and connecting with her heritage.
